Featuring local musician Harlan Jefferson and RSO musician Joel Ross.

Join the Free Zoom series pairing an RSO musician with a local musician for a lively conversation!

The second in the 4-part series will feature local musician Harlan Jefferson and RSO musician Joel Ross on Wednesday, March 24 from 6-7 pm in a discussion about the intersection of classical and jazz music.

Rockford native and jazz saxophonist Harlan Jefferson will discuss some of his musical influences, his approach to jazz study, and what inspires him as a performer and entertainer. RSO pianist Joel Ross will explore many of the commonalities between the two genres, and attempt to "pull back the curtain" on how a jazz musician creates. Questions will be open to attendees at the conclusion.
