Giving to the RSO
-
In addition to making a direct contribution, there are several ways to give:
Recommend a gift from your donor-advised fund.
If you are over 70 and a half, request an IRA charitable rollover.
-
Enrolling as a monthly donor is an easy way to support the RSO.
-
A Planned Gift is a unique way to make an incredible impact on the Rockford Symphony Orchestra.
Whether you are a longtime donor, or are considering your first gift, your contribution will help the RSO present exciting music experiences and enriching outreach events.
The RSO is a 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
The Benefits of Giving to the RSO

The investments made by our Maestro Circle and Founders Club members allow the Rockford Symphony Orchestra to strengthen our commitment to providing vibrant musical experiences to our community. When you become a Leadership Donor with an annual gift of $1,750 or more, your RSO experience will be enhanced with unique benefits including opportunities to meet RSO musicians and guest artists and spend time with the RSO’s Music Director. Monthly Giving
Support the Rockford Symphony Orchestra throughout the entire year. Enrolling as a Monthly Donor makes supporting the RSO easier than ever! And during a time when the RSO does not have income from ticket sales and special events, the RSO has the peace of mind that your gift will arrive every month.
It’s easy to become a monthly donor. First, decide how much you would like to contribute monthly. (A minimum gift of $5 is required.) Then select the payment method that works best for you:
(Recommended*) Electronic funds transfer (EFT) from your banking account – click here to complete the enrollment form.
Credit or debit card payment – click here to set up your payment right away.
Set up a monthly payment directly with your bank – initiate at your convenience through your bank’s website.
*Selecting the EFT option allows the RSO to keep more of your gift by avoiding credit card processing fees.
Your contribution will be automatic each month with a record of each transaction appearing on your bank or credit card statement. As a Monthly Donor, you will enjoy season-long benefits at the donor level equal to your total annual giving. At the end of each calendar year, the RSO will send a statement of your annual giving. Total control of your gift remains with you; changes can be made at any time by calling the RSO at 815.965.0049.
