Youth and Student Tickets
The RSO offers special youth and student ticket rates.
Youth Tickets: available to any child aged 18 or under for $10. The RSO recommends our performances for children age six and above. The Coronado Theatre has booster seats available for our younger audience members.
Student Tickets: available to anyone 19 and up with a valid student ID for $15.
Youth and Student pricing is only available for select performances.
Youth and student tickets will be seated with additional purchased tickets, regardless of the price section. Tickets will be given best available seating (floor or balcony option) if purchased without adult tickets.
Youth/Student Subscriptions: Subscription packages are also available at these discounted rates. Subscription rates are only available at the RSO Box Office or by calling 815.965.0049.
Music Educator Discount
The Rockford Symphony Orchestra recognizes the hard work music educators are doing in our community and honors the difference they are making every day by offering Music Educators 50% off adult ticket prices (up to 4 per concert). These can be purchased by calling the RSO Office at 815.965.0049.

Frequently Asked Questions About Group Sales:
When can I make my reservation? – As soon as you pick your date! Advance ordering is the key to good seats. To order tickets simply call the Box Office at 815.965.0049.
Can my group sit together? – We make every effort to seat all members of your group together. In general, the further in advance you make your reservations, the more likely it is that we can accommodate your seating requests.
Is a deposit required? – A 50% non-refundable deposit is due to hold your seats with your reservation.
When is final payment due? – The remaining balance of your order is due three weeks prior to the concert date. Once final payment is received, your tickets will be mailed to you.
Can I change my order? – Yes! Group orders can be adjusted until the time of final payment. If you need to add more seats after your final payment is due, simply call the RSO Box Office. As long as seats are still available, we will accommodate additional members of your group.

Ticket Refund Policy
Throughout the 2024/25 season, you will have ticket change options of exchanging your ticket for another performance, converting your tickets to a tax-deductible donation or in some instances, receiving a refund.
If unable to attend a scheduled concert, ticket buyers have the following options:
Exchange the ticket for another concert within the same season of equal or lesser value
Convert the ticket to a tax-deductible donation
Ticket buyers must notify the RSO at least one business day prior to the concert date and will be charged a $5 fee for the transaction. Fees are waived for subscribers.
Refunds will be an option for ticket buyers in the following situations*:
If a concert is canceled
If a concert is postponed and the ticket buyer cannot attend the new date
If the ticket buyer is ill and must stay home for the safety of other audience members
RSO Ticket Refund Procedure
Refunds will be issued via check within 30 days of the request.
Effective October, 2024.
*Refunds cannot be issues through our offices if the original ticket was purchased online or through a third-party site.
Concert Cancellation Policy
I. CANCELLATION
The RSO will endeavor to perform all scheduled concerts, even under the most difficult circumstances. In general, performances will be canceled or postponed only if the audience's or performers' safety is at risk. The decision to cancel any concert will be made by the RSO Board President, Executive Director, and Music Director in consultation.
II. NOTIFICATION
Every avenue that is available to the RSO will be used to inform audience members of a concert cancellation or postponement. That may include but is not limited to email, phone calls, text messages, and posting on social media and on the RSO website.
Stored Credit
New Stored Credit for the 2024/25 Season can only be issued for current season subscribers.
Concert tickets from the 2024/25 Season converted to Stored Credit can be redeemed through June 30, 2025. Stored Credit can be used for any purchase with the RSO including single tickets, a subscription package, RSO merchandise or gift certificate, and tickets to a special event. Stored Credit must be redeemed through the RSO Box Office. Stored Credit can also be converted to a donation or a refund upon request by the customer.
If the stored credit has not been redeemed by the expiration date stated above, it will be converted to an RSO donation, and you will receive a tax receipt.
