Aaron Copland’s beloved Appalachian Spring captures the American pioneer spirit of hope with his ballet about a newlywed couple building a new home in Pennsylvania. Spring love is in the air with two tales of love in John William’s Chairman’s Waltz and the tragic love of the Butterfly Lovers in He Zhanhao’s tender and poignant music.
