As video games have developed from their modest beginnings in the 1960s to the complex cinematic games of today, their soundtracks have evolved along with them. RSO at the Arcade celebrates the best music from these games by bringing these works into the concert hall. The RSO along with special guests The Blueshift Band, will perform music ranging from classic Nintendo themes to soundtracks from recent releases such as Halo and Uncharted.

  • Single tickets range from $33-$77

    $15 tickets for students 19 and up with a valid student ID

    $10 tickets for youth 18 and under

Blueshift Big Band
Founded in 2017 by drummer Joel Baer and guitarist Chris Parsons, the Blueshift Big Band builds up the rich legacy of Big Band music found in Chicago. The Band developed its unique voice and sound, taking inspiration from Jazz Standards, Blues, and the Great American Songbook, and tapping into a wealth of materials a whole generation has been raised on - Video Games.
