Join us for an evening that explores resilience through music and the message of hope. The concert opens with the lush and inspiring “Coplandish” overture Anthem of Hope, written during the pandemic by Emmy Award winning composer Anthony DiLorenzo. Cellist Efe Baltacigil joins the RSO to perform Turkish composer Fazil Say's Never Give Up, a piece written in response to terror attacks which occurred in Turkey, but ending with a hopeful and peaceful message. The concert closes with the most iconic work in classical music, Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, a piece that symbolizes hope perhaps more than any in the repertoire.
