RSYO Email Update | February 10, 2023

Hello RSYO,

First, I just wanted to say how excited I am to be stepping into Audra’s former position as Education and Outreach Coordinator! I’m looking forward to getting to know you all and to continue to build the youth symphony. Here are some updates on things happening this week and things to get on your radar.

Rehearsal Temperature Concerns

We were made aware that the building was freezing during the last rehearsal. We’ve reached out to Rockford Lutheran who told us their heater was broken at the time, but the problem should now be fixed.

Youth Concert Side-by-Side Registration

For our April 19th Youth Concert, we are inviting RSYO members an opportunity to play alongside the RSO’s professional musicians in our Link Up-The Orchestra Moves Concert. Attached is a sheet with all the details regarding the event. Please fill out the form below by March 1st if you are interested in being a part of that performance. All are encouraged to participate!

Snack Sign-up

Thanks for covering all the Feb rehearsals! As March approaches if we could get people signed up for those dates as well would be wonderful.

End of the Year Banquet

Every year we have a banquet after the final RSYO performance (4/30/23 this year) to wrap up the year and celebrate student accomplishments. We are looking at once again having it at Lino’s this year. Be on the lookout for a sign-up for that (hopefully coming soon).
