Psalm 150 |
Music has always inspired faith, and in return, the music of faith has inspired composers. Earl George bases his electrifying overture on the familiar ‘Old Hundredth’ hymn, while Brahms borrows the ‘Chorale of St. Anthony’ as the theme of his Variations. Gabriel Fauré transitions the traditional Requiem to ethereally beautiful heights, and César Franck obeys the Psalmist’s command to praise God through music and dance!
